Butch
Peterson, chairman of our Fellowship board had open heart surgery this morning
at Missouri Baptist Hospital to replace a valve in his heart. The doctor said
all went well. Butch will be in the hospital for about 5 days for recovery so
keep him in your prayers for a complete healing and fast recovery.
"I guess Butch decided he wanted to become a Baptist after
all!"
The
following is a final reminder about the youth group meeting this Wednesday, see
below from Vickie.
This is a reminder of our next
meeting next Wednesday at 6pm at Esic Baptist Church in the
Sanctuary......dinner and dessert will be provided.......One hour of community
service will be added to your hours list for clean up and
attendance......!
Again, this meeting is about the
choices we make, and about drug abuse, specifically Heroin use.
David Frazier, a recovering addict will be speaking and taking questions.....He
is a really nice young man, born and raised in Edwardsville...is now 25 years
old. I have known him since he was in Middle School....He has been sober
since last August...almost a year! He is a very smart young man, so if he
can fall, anyone can.....we need to be informed......knowledge is power
guys!!! He is a survivor....and becoming stronger every day........HE is
very lucky to still be here........I think his mom will be there as well.....a
parents perspective will be a good thing!!
WE all love our kids, and we
need you all to know that there is nothing you can't come to us with....any
place, anytime. As parents we all know that you, our kids, are on
loan to us from God....it is an honor, and a privilege to have you in our lives,
and we will do whatever it takes to make sure you are loved and safe.......I
hope to see you all tomorrow night.....6:00!!!

morning and hello to Praise Community Fellowship family, I hope all who
attended last nights service felt the Holy Spirit as strong as I did. We have a
very special family and welcome to all the new faces who have joined us. For
those of you who are new to this letter, I usually send out a Praise Community
Fellowship letter each Monday to keep everyone up on any events and news about
our church. For those of you with internet access, you can go to our website at

and look at the calendar of events including service times and other church
activities scheduled. You can also access replays of the sermons, find contact
information for our various leaders and boards, and learn more about our
ministry.
Amber Boyles Pellock is the person who designed and the person who
updates our web information.
God
is working in our midst. He has a plan for everyone. If you have a need or have
questions or comments or suggestions regarding our service, please feel free to

- Gary and Linda Daniels thank you for another wonderful family meal last night!
- Thank you to the praise choir members who have filled
our services with amazing music. I can't wait until this fall when we get
into RTP mode!
- Thank you Esic Baptist church family for allowing us to
become what God has called us to become in your wonderful facility, big
wonderful things are on the way for both our congregations.
- Thank you Dennis Detoye for becoming our new welcoming
and announcement leader. You are the best!
Current Mission Projects:
#1 For those
of you who may not know, we can turn our “no longer useful” (but in good
condition) shoes into water! In areas of the world where good clean water
may be several miles from home, THE SHOEMAN WATER PROJECT is hard at work. We
have included the web link below so that you can read more about this fantastic

· Go through your closets; get out all of those shoes that you
will never wear again.
· They need to be in wearable condition so please, do not
bring in shoes that are torn, smelly, or otherwise “un-wearable”.
· Shoes of every size are needed for both children and adults.
· We will provide a signed “drop off” center for your shoes at
church.
· If your shoes have strings please tie them together, if
there are no strings they will need to be banded together. We will
provide rubber bands at the “drop off” center for your convenience.
#2 The
Glen/Ed Pantry is now collecting items for back to school. We will have a drop
off center here at church for these items through the month of July and will
deliver them to the pantry for local distribution. Many items are needed for
children of all ages. To help with your shopping we have a web link below
to provide you with school supply check lists for children in the Edwardsville
school district.
God has a plan for your life! Prayer is real and effective! Don't walk through this life alone and defeated. God loves you and seeks a relationship with you. There is a light that can be turned on within you that can change everything for the better. Praise Community Fellowship wants to help you turn on that light.
