Have you prayed today?

Prayer is a conversation. A conversation consists of two parties communicating with one another. Prayer is like a conversation you would have with anyone accept for one huge difference, when praying you are talking with the creator of everything, who knows everything, and who can guide you to your highest purpose for this life. No one else has that capability, no one.

So the next time you find yourself in a troubling situation, no matter how big or small, you have a choice; you can go to your well intentioned friends and get their advice, or you can go to prayer and let the creator of everything, who knows everything, guide you to what you should do or who you should go talk to or what step you should take next.

Something to think about:

If you found yourself with a serious legal problem, you would probably hire the best attorney you could find. To get the help you need you will have to go to the attorneys office and discuss your problem in great detail. The attorney would listen, probably take notes and then begin a strategy to help you. So let's say the attorney calls you back in a week and says she has a plan for you, and she needs you to be at her office on Tuesday at 10:00am.  But Tuesday rolls around and instead of going to hear what the attorneys plans are for you, you decide to stay at home and continue worrying about the problem.

That would make no sense what so-ever would it?   That's how many people pray. They pray for an answer and rather than following through with more prayer, they choose to stay focused on the problem rather than on the problem solver.  Don't let that happen to you.

Got a problem? Go to God!  Stay with God until the answer comes!  It will come but you have to be listening.

I thank all of you who are making Praise Community Fellowship such a wonderful place to come and experience God. Be a disciple and invite someone you know who is struggling who needs some love, hope and peace in their life to come join us on Sunday evenings. Better yet, bring them as a guest and make sure to let me know if you are bringing a guest so I can make a special effort to make them feel at home and comfortable. Prayer is power!  Don't wait another day, begin a powerful prayer life and watch God come alive to you in ways you never thought possible.

Sincerely, Kent
