The BIG relational "Why Not?"

People do not like to feel uncomfortable. The uncomfortable I'm talking about is a "special kind" of uncomfortable. It's the type of uncomfortable that puts a certain "fear" in people similar to public speaking. But let me make you a guarantee, "If you can overcome this "uncomfortable fear" I promise you your life is going to change in unimaginably wonderful ways. I'm talking about praying with your spouse or your significant other!

Do you have a strained relationship? Pray together!
Do you have strife between you that is preventing you both from enjoying each other? Pray together!
Has your spouse been under immense stress and seems distant? Pray together!
Have you drifted apart emotionally, physically? Pray together!
Are you going thru a very stressful time in your life? Pray together!
Are you enjoying a wonderful relationship and want to keep it that way? Pray together!
Have you been dating someone and want to know where the relationship should go? Pray together!

Matthew 18:2020 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

John 16:2424 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Jeremiah 33:3‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

So here are Gods promises. What is it that would keep you from igniting a Holy Spirit Flame into your relationship? The only thing I can think of is fear! But fear of what? Lets analyze this.
It would be too embarrassing? What is embarrassing about praying with the one you love?
What you have to do is figure out what is making you so uncomfortable to pray with your spouse or significant other. The uncomfortable fear probably has something to do with the fact that this would be "out of character" for some. Well get over it!
Here is the only question you must answer, Do yo want Gods power to intervene in your relationship or not? If the answer is yes, then pray with your spouse or significant other!
Kent I do pray for my spouse I just don't do it with them? Why not?
Your relationship cannot stay the same when you begin a regular prayer time with your spouse!
God has so much for each of us and it is released with uninhibited, fearless prayer! Amen!

See you Sunday. Come learn more! Communion, Fellowship, Prayer. Come for all things are ready!
 Love, pastor kent
